Who are we?
The Sassologist is a site about Pop Culture, with a focus on diversity and equality. We write reviews and special features on films, comics, books, television series, music, games, art and all things popculture. We’re all about that sass!
The site started in May 2015 as a personal blog, but has slowly evolved into the pop culture blog that it is today. We pride ourselves into writing honest reviews and sassy articles about pop phenomenons and characters that we love. The Sassologist is completely independent and therefore we can guarantee that everything posted on this blog is our own opinion. We love to discover new films and series and books, and invest into watching and reading as much as we can. The site is growing steadily and keeps attracting a larger audience every day.
Ingrid is the twenty-something owner of The Sassologist, who loves everything that has to do with pop culture. While she is one of many who is in the process of writing a novel, she is also currently in denial over not being a witch. Her Hogwarts letter has yet to arrive. In the meantime she writes about pop culture and dreams about unicorns.
Nora would like more time in a day to watch more tv-series & films, write more stories and read more books. Instead, she tries to combine working fulltime and being a wife, mom & friend with sponging up as much popculture in her life as one possibly can. Trigger words for her include, but are not limited to: Gaiman, Rowling, Riordan, Rowell, Star Wars, Marvel, Batman, Bucky, Netflix & Disney.
Tom is a 38-year-old lover of everything from the big G himself, Godzilla, to Star Trek and from playing D&D to Overwatch. Codename: Dr.BadTaste, because of a love for everything Cult, weird and bad. He founded Camp Camp with friends to celebrate this and to celebrate Bad Taste! Powers: Geek of all trades, bad puns and a certain je ne sais quoi. Weaknesses: his partner, their cat named Monster and everything to do with Pugs.
Sil proudly brands herself as a gamer. She has played far too many mmo’s and loves to stream her gaming adventures on Twitch under the name McMonkeyzz, while accompanied by her best gaming buddy, Rosie the little, black cat. She also has a weakness for rugged men with a sense of humour like her boyfriend, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Thor and Deadpool. Ow and she draws stuff.
