Catrice Treasure Trove Collection review

I know, I was supposed to do the Self-portrait challenge but I am giving up. I just can’t be bothered to take that many pictures of myself anymore (don’t look at my instagram). Anyway, I thought that it would be an excellent idea to do a review of a make-up collection. I love make-up and I love fancy products and if they are budget-proof, I am super happy.

So today I am reviewing the Catrice Treasure Trove collection. Catrice is a budget brand that is available in some European countries. It offers great products for great prices and the packaging is often very fancy. I adore their eyebrow powder.

I bought the eyeshadow palette, two lipsticks and a nail polish from the limited edition collection.

The eyeshadow palette comes in a plastic box and contains eight neutral colours. I already have many neutral eyeshadows, but I couldn’t let these matte beauties go. The pigment is quite good for this price. You can make some great looks with them, as long as you are not too excited about blending. Then you might not be able to tell the difference anymore. The light shades didn’t really pop on my skin, because I am, surprise surprise, quite pale myself, but they looked good on my eyelids. The darker colours are not extremely dark but perfect for a natural look.

The lipsticks

I adore lipsticks and these were perfect. The texture is nice and creamy and they apply easily. The only down-side is the slightly superficial smell. It doesn’t smell as nice as MAC lipsticks, so they could have done without trying to scent these, but brownie points for trying. They are not extremely long-lasting, but for the price their lasting-power is okay. I actually use these quite a lot.

Here is the look I made with the eyeshadow palette and the lipsticks. Top is Jewel Daze, bottom is Caviar & Champagne

Nail Polish

The nail polish is a beautiful gold colour that covers completely with two layers. I only used one for this picture (do not judge my polish skills). Even someone as bad at nail polish as I am could apply this without a single problem. So that is a good sign! I have been wearing it all day and the nail polish hasn’t chipped yet. I approve!

This collection is limited edition, so you have to be quick if you want any of these products.

The eyeshadow palette is € 7,99

Lipstick € 3,99

Nail Polish € 3,49
