MAC foundation and lipstick review

The other day, I had an important event and I did my makeup. I used two new products I had bought by MAC. God I adore MAC. Back when I was a poor girl, I could only stare at the MAC counter and cry because I could not afford it. Now I can afford it and I buy stuff whenever I can. So a short review of the MAC foundation and lipstick and the final look.

The problem with being so pale is that you can’t really find a proper cheap foundation that does not make me look like an oompa loompa. I used the Chanel Aqualumiere foundation but realised that if I kept using that, I would always remain poor. The MAC foundation is a little cheaper yet the effect is just as good. It is a fluid foundtion which blends in very well with the skin and diminishes redness and gives you a very glowy skin. You don’t need much of it to get a great effect so it is good value for money. Despite it looking yellow on the picture, it actually works really well with pink undertones such as myself. The MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation retails at about 31 euros.

Another product I bought was the cremesheen lipstick in the colour FanFare. I love MAC lipsticks because they look beautiful, apply easily and last very long. I wanted a pretty pink colour that wasn’t too obvious yet still obvious enough for people to be like ‘yo pretty lipstick yo’. I chose fanfare and it is brilliant. You can go a couple of hours without having to reapply it (unless you eat a lot). It compliments most skintones and is really worth looking into. It retails for about 19 euros if I am correct.

And this was the final look:
