Ho Ho Ho! This is the time to decorate your Christmas tree. And though there’s nothing at all wrong with the standard silver tree ornaments, red ribbons, candy canes and twinkling little white lights, you could do more. Add some colour, maybe. Some neon pink, fluorescent green or electric crimson could do the trick. But, being the nerd you are, you need more. You need to go all out and show your friends and/or family the love for your fandoms. What you need are geeky tree ornaments! You can click each image below to bring you to an online shop, but please also remember to shop locally and support small shops whenever you can!
Harry Potter tree ornaments
For once, the Harry Potter films win over the books. And that’s when it comes to Christmas. Every film has at least one Christmas scene in it, and this series is pretty much a must-see during the holidays. (And if you’re more of a reader, check out the Harry Potter boxsets here as a cool Christmas gift for your loved ones) So, Potterheads, claim your Christmas tree with these cool ornaments.
Doctor Who tree ornaments
If there’s a tv-series that knows how to do Christmas right, it’s Doctor Who. Each year, there’s a Christmas special. Since 2005, these special episodes are something Whovians look forward to. This year’s title is ‘Twice Upon a Time’ and will mark the last Christmas special for Peter Capaldi (and showrunner Steven Moffat), since Jodie Whittaker is taking over as the new Doctor! So whether you’re saying goodbye to the old Doctor or saying hello to the new one, put some of these ornaments in your Christmas tree!
Star Wars tree ornaments
OK, Star Wars technically has nothing at all to do with Christmas. It’s set in a galaxy far far away, and a long time ago. There’s no Christmas in the Star Wars universe. But each December, a new Star Wars film is released. And Star Wars is cool. So you have no reason not to put Darth Vader & Co up in your Christmas Tree. The Force is strong in your Christmas Tree, young Padawan. Decorate your tree Star Wars style: do or do not, there is no try.
