First Aladdin Teaser Trailer

The past few weeks have been good to us when it comes to highly anticipated trailers. Disney graced us all with the very first teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action version of Aladdin. While the trailer doesn’t show much, it does give us the chills. That music. The cave. The first look at our boy grabbing the lamp. What is not to love?

About the film

The film will center around the same plot as the original animated version did. The film has been directed by Guy Ritchie, who previously gave us the Sherlock Holmes films with Robert Downey Jr. It stars Mena Massoud as the title character. Power Ranger’s Naomi Scott will appear as Princess Jasmine. Dutch actor Marwan Kenzari will portray villain Jafar and Will Smith is playing the role of the Genie. The iconic and sadly late Robin Williams was Genie’s voice in the animated version. For now, the film is going to be released in May 2019. Two months later, the Disney live-action version of The Lion King will premiere as well.

Who is excited for all the Disney madness coming our way in 2019?
