As I wrote in my last blog, I went to Disney for two days. I hadn’t been there since I was eleven and as I do adore themeparks and did not feel like going on a longer holiday, it was a perfect idea to go to Disney. I will entertain you in this post with pictures I took and some of my commentary and recommendations. Enjoy!
We started off at Discoveryland where we immediately headed for Space Mountain: Mission 2. Last time I was in Disneyland, I was too afraid to go into Space Mountain, yet as I am super bad-ass now, I really wanted to ride it. I was not disappointed. One of the best and most beautiful dark rides I have ever been on.
It was very crowded, especially in Fantasyland as there were many families with kids. It meant we did not have time to go on the classic rides such as Peter Pan, but I couldn’t help but take this picture of the Alice in Wonderland Labyrinth. I am still rather obsessed with the story. Instead we rode on Indiana Jones and went to the Phantom Manor where my camera’s LCD screen mysteriously broke. Damn those ghosts. I also pretty much aced Buzz Lightyear’s Laser thing and we went on Big Thunder Mountain when it was completely dark. Super awesome.
It’s hard to find healthy food in Disneyland, so you just have to sin. And if you do, you might as well do it well. It does not look the part, but this hot dog was really, really good. You can buy these at Casey’s Corner, on Main Street.
We stayed at the Magic Circus Hotel, which was really great and I would definitely recommend it. Everything was circus-themed and the bed was amazing. Anyway, moving on. On Day 2 we visited Walt Disney Studios.
Even though I had to endure 90 minutes in a queue with the most horrible people I have ever encountered in my existence, I really enjoyed the Ratatouille ride. It was totally worth the wait. I also loved the Aerosmith rollercoaster but I skipped the Tower of Terror. No dropping me from great heights, thank you very much.
We went back to the main park and saw the parade. While all the kids went nuts over Elsa and Anna, I went nuts over Alice and the Lion King. We then did some shopping and ended with a last round on Space Mountain, before heading back home.
