Sorry I did not post yesterday. Unfortunately I spent my New Year’s Eve on the couch with stomach flu, which I can assure you is not the best way to start a new year. On the upside, things can only get better from now on right? False start, awesome new year. Just nod and say yes. Thank you.
I am not going to talk about what an awful year 2016 was in terms of the losses and generally bad things that have happened. That’s all in the past now, even though that sounds incredibly cheesy. While the future may look dark and uncertain, the least we can all do is shine a little light to make it all a little brighter. Once again, this sounds so cheesy but I guess it is true. It might be the flu talking though.
When we talk about 2017 and the Sassologist, there are a couple of things I want to accomplish. I want this blog to become even better. I want it to grow and reach more people, but most importantly I want us to keep writing articles as much as we can. Hopefully we will manage to post something daily, but as this is a hobby and not our real job it is sometimes hard to get that done. Time to get better at planning and organising! Perhaps I will even try to venture into YouTube some more, but I don’t think I am the right person to chat to a camera all day. We’ll see. The most important thing is to have fun and as long as we have fun doing this blog, we will keep going. Also, I will try to get the new look up this week. There have been some technical difficulties which caused the delay, but hey, trying to figure it out.
On a personal note, I want 2017 to be more adventurous. I want to go out there more and explore the world, meet new people and go on adventures. I want to finish the final draft of the manuscript I’ve been working on for nearly two years. I want to draw more and just be more creative in general. But most of all, I want to be happy and healthy. God, can anyone ever write one of these things without it becoming a total cheesefest?
Anyway, I hope you will also have a fantastic year filled with surprises and happiness. I hope that you will keep reading the Sassologist of course. I hope that we can make this year a good one. Definitely a better one than 2016. But hey, how hard can that be?
